Well, an unlimited number of inputs first off. That's the number 1 positive about Arduino in general but also, they have any kind of sensor you can ever want. Personally I'm thinking of putting their accelorometers on the top slat of my blinds so I can have feedback as to the position of the blinds. I use Somfy'sRTS and occasionally one blind might not open/close. Right now I basically send the commands 3 times with a delay in between which usually catches any mistakes but by knowing the actual position, I can then use that to resend the command needed.
