In case it's helpful, I'm using iPad 3 with 2.0 without incident.

Where do you find the Elve Mobile version number?  I'll check mine.

One thing I discovered when setting mine up is that you have to use a pass word.  I was operating without one since no one else has access to my system, and it wouldn't connect until I added pass word usage.  It then immediately connected.

Do  you see any related errors in the Elve event log?

Have you tried restarting the touch service... or rebooting the computer?

By analyzing what gets the server when the iPad is trying to connect this is what happens:

Why destination = 224.0.0.251 ?

224.0.0.x is a multicast IP address using UDP.  Elve Mobile does not use this so that can't be coming from Elve Mobile.  The Elve Master Service does use UDP, but that is not related to Elve Mobile at all.

Are you running the Elve Touch Service? It is required for Elve Mobile. It is installed and run by default unless you deselect it.

Are you entering a hostname or ip address into the Elve Mobile settings? Either will work but to narrow down any issues try using the ip address of the Elve Touch Server and ensure you are on the same wifi network.

Do you have any other firewalls on the machine running the Touch Service that might be blocking the port?
