So I am a ding dong. Pulling my hair out (a rare commodity) on and off over this auth issue when I remember: The lite viewer is open sourced. So instead of guessing I took a look at the handshaking session and everything I am looking for is right there. So there is the perfect example to get you going on a speech driver, and I might add that the coding is beautiful. He's like the Shakespeare of binary. I always wanted to be somebody. In retrospect, I think I should have been more specific.

iostream212, I sent you a code snippet from the xml client protocol module in Elve. Please compare it to your source code and let me know if there is anything else you need.
