Lenght property for Labels and Text Entry control
« on: May 17, 2010, 12:01:26 am »
Labels and Text Entry controls should have a lenght property that would indicate the lenght of the text in it. Now I see that the only way of getting the lenght in a reasonable way in action scripting is to read it in to a local(/global) string variable and use its 'Lenght' property to get the lenght.

You could use:

TouchScreen.mylabel.Text.Length

Will that work for you?

Yes, it worked. Thank you. I just had not thought that a TS control's property could inherit the property's data type's properties (here string properties and methods).

Yes all the exposed members are script objects.

I'll mark this one as a declined request. If you find more incentive for a TextLength property on the control please post a new request.
