Basic Technical Details

• System Requirements
  • Operating System:
    • Windows XP, Windows Embedded Standard, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 (32bit or 64bit)
  • Hardware:
    • CPU: A 1GHz processor is recommended, however the system will run with slower processors.
    • RAM: 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended
    • Hard Drive: 20 megabytes is required for installation. More space is needed when adding graphics for touch screens and media files.
    • Some device drivers require a serial port or network card.
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 must be installed.
    
    This can also be installed using Windows Update.

  The system runs in the background even when you are not logged in.

  Events can occur asynchronously - polling is unnecessary for most drivers.

  Drivers, touch screen viewer and builder, web server, desktop server can be run on multiple computers - anywhere in the world.

  Third parties can add new drivers for devices using using Microsoft .NET.

  Drivers are downloaded from the master server on demand and do not need to be loaded onto the client machines.

  User accounts prevent unauthorized access to the system and allow for assigning which parts the the system a user has access to.
